Our school is intended for learning, networking and collaboration in an atmosphere that is collegial, free of intimidation, fear, coercion and reprisal . We value the participation of everyone and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, participants accept to abide by the school code of conduct and accept the procedures by which any code of conduct incidents are resolved. This code of conduct applies to all physical or virtual spaces managed or used by organizers for this school including, but not limited to the conference venue, hotels, dining spaces, Slack, Zoom, email lists, GitLab, and RenkuLab.
The 2022 Saas-Fee course is a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality, religion. We do not tolerate harassment, bullying or cyber stalking of attendees in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion, harassing images or recording or any deliberate intimidation.
Everybody participating to the school, including students, teaching assistants and lecturers, is expected to adhere to the following:
- All attendees are expected to behave professionally and treat each other with respect for the duration of the school and in all activities related to it. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
- Appropriate, respectful, and inclusive language should be used by all attendees in their interactions throughout the school in all physical and virtual spaces. Participants are advised to be mindful and respectful at all times of cultural differences among the participants.
- Recording any of the school sessions and transmitting them is strictly prohibited.
- Attendees who witness or are affected by possible violations of the Code of Conduct should use the anonymous form, attaching evidence (e.g., screenshots) if available. The complaint will be examined by the school organizers and action will be taken if the majority concurs that the code has been violated.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Attendees violating these rules will be asked to leave the school environment. If they refuse to do so, they will be removed at the sole discretion of the school organizers.
